Inside our Reuters integration

The Reuters verification desk handles tens of thousands of submissions a week. Their existing tooling was a hand-rolled combination of EXIF readers, reverse image search, and editorial intuition.

We didn’t replace any of that. Instead, we added Verify as a signal layer that surfaces only when uncertain — leaving the well-understood cases to the existing pipeline. The integration took six weeks.
